What a child with life-threatening food allergy is entitled to in Israel, and how to actually obtain it. The skill explains what the gan, school and tzaharon must do under the Ministry of Education standing instruction (allergen-free zone with prominent signage, menus planned in advance for holidays and trips, emotional support, no exclusion), builds the parent packet for the start of the school year (annual health declaration, allergist letter, two in-date EpiPens, medication-administration forms), and drafts the accommodation-request letter to the institution. It details the Bituach Leumi disabled-child claim for allergy at 50% for ages 9 months to 10 years and the three pieces of evidence required, including the real-time episode documentation most families miss. It also covers the two medical-assistant rights schools most often get wrong. Use it before the school year, when an institution refuses an arrangement, or before filing a claim. Do NOT use for celiac or gluten, general meal planning, clinical diagnosis, or medication dosing.

The Problem

A child with a life-threatening food allergy in Israel has real, written, binding rights, and almost no parent knows what they are. The Ministry of Education obliges the gan, school and tzaharon to declare allergen-free zones with visible signage, plan holiday and trip menus around the allergen in advance, and avoid exclusion. Bituach Leumi pays an allowance for qualifying food allergy, but only between ages 9 months and 10 years and only with evidence most families never assemble in time. Families end up negotiating from scratch every September, from a position of not knowing what they are owed.

My 4-year-old has a life-threatening peanut allergy and starts gan in September. Please draft a letter in Hebrew to the gan director setting out what the gan is obliged to do under the Ministry of Education standing instruction.

Start-of-year packet

What exactly do I need to prepare for the school before the year starts for a child with a food allergy? Give me an ordered checklist of the documents and the injectors.

Allowance eligibility

My 6-year-old has a severe nut allergy and had a reaction with shortness of breath. Are we eligible for the disabled-child allowance and what do we need to bring?

Trip refusal

The school said that without a medical assistant my child cannot go on the trip. Is that lawful? Draft me a reply.

Everything a family with celiac in Israel needs, in the right order. The skill opens with the most expensive mistake, going gluten-free before the blood test and biopsy, which can mislead and obstruct diagnosis, and explains what is actually tested and when a repeat biopsy is required. After diagnosis it consolidates the entitlements almost nobody knows: what educational institutions must provide in every activity including trips, why portions must be packaged in a different colour with prominent marking, how to read Israeli food labels, the right to a suitable medication alternative when a health-basket drug is unsuitable, municipal welfare funding for therapeutic food, and the IDF track including profile 97 and the food stipend. It also covers the Passover trap, where kosher-for-Passover does not mean gluten-free, and adds a section on birthday parties and the packaged-snack shelf: which Israeli snacks and sweets work, the traps such as Bisli, regular beigele, Click and Kinder Joy, and why the marking on the pack is what decides. Use it when celiac is suspected, when arranging gan or school, when buying party snacks, or ahead of enlistment. Do NOT use for IgE food allergy or anaphylaxis, general meal planning, or clinical diagnosis.

Guides Israeli families through legally employing a foreign nursing caregiver at home and computes the true monthly cost. Covers the Population Authority permit and licensed bureau, minimum wage, National Insurance (3.6%), pension and severance, recuperation pay, annual leave, and holidays by the worker's country of origin, plus how the Bituach Leumi long-term-care benefit offsets the cost. Use when opening an employer file or checking you pay correctly. Do NOT use for caregivers employed by a care company or for Israeli caregivers.

A Hebrew-first personal-training coach that remembers your program and history across sessions. It onboards any split (PPL, upper-lower, full-body, or custom) into an editable profile, then works as five roles: a coach that gives the next workout in your rotation with a home-equipment variant, a logger that turns free Hebrew text into a structured training log, a nutrition framer that hands specifics to the Israeli nutrition skill, an analyst that trends your estimated 1RM, volume, run pace and RPE creep to catch plateaus and overtraining, and a controlled routine-breaker. Use it to know today's workout, log a session, check whether you are progressing or stuck, or keep a training log that carries context between sessions. Includes Israeli-summer heat and hydration rules and a disordered-eating guardrail. Plan and review at your computer (where the log lives), log what you did after training in plain words, and on a phone attach your log to keep going. It is a coach and logbook, not a between-sets gym tracker. Do NOT use for clinical rehab or injury prescription, medical dietary therapy, meal planning (use israeli-nutrition-planner), or as a substitute for a licensed trainer, physiotherapist, or dietitian.
