New on Skills IL: new skills + guides without the code (June 11)
It's been a busy couple of weeks. Four new skills landed that I'm genuinely into, from a fact and claim verifier to a private home construction advisor. And in parallel I started going through the guides and rewriting them without the technical language, so that anyone without a technical background can just follow along step by step.
New on Skills IL: Course quizzes (June 4)
About two weeks ago I told you about the new Courses section on the site, and the response genuinely made my day. Over 200 people have already enrolled. But something kept nagging at me: how do you actually know the material stuck? So I built a short quiz for the end of every course. And while I was in there, I also added two new courses, a new skill, and a small update about the community WhatsApp group.
New on Skills IL: Courses (May 26)
I want to tell you the story behind the new section on the site, because the story itself explains why it's interesting. Agent skills started as a technical tool: workflows, automations, instructions telling an agent how to do a task. That's how Anthropic framed it, and that's how I started too. But the more I used skills, the more I saw that a skill is really just a folder with organized information and maybe a few scripts. The agent reads it, and suddenly it has full context on one specific topic. No magic. So I asked myself: why not fill those folders with the information we actually need here in Israel? Bituach Leumi, income tax, invoices, forms, all the bureaucracy a global agent doesn't know. That's how Skills IL was born, with over 180 skills that understand Israel a bit better. Then two weeks ago, in the middle of something completely unrelated, it clicked: if a skill is organized information on a topic, how is that different from a course? The thought wouldn't leave me. I realized it's the same thing, only split into chapters with a learning sequence. So I built a module that takes a skill and turns it into a course, and that's the surprise: a brand new Courses section on the site. Every course can be studied on the site chapter by chapter, or installed as a skill in your own agent, so when you ask it a question on the topic, it answers from the course.
What's new on Skills IL (May 14)
This update is mostly about finding the right skill faster. There's a new AI Mode that understands free-text questions, and the Try Skill chat now runs a lot faster. Three new skills were added too, and at the end there's a short note on why it's worth following the skills that matter to you.
What's new on Skills IL (May 6)
A meaty update this time. Two flagship things: you can now connect Skills IL directly to Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, and any other MCP-compatible AI agent through your account (free during beta), and there's a new skill generator that turns a Hebrew or English description into a ready-to-install SKILL.md. I also added a new skill for Israelis working abroad as digital nomads.
What's new on Skills IL (April 29)
A busy week. I launched a brand-new directory of Hebrew-first design systems, added 8 new skills on the topics I get asked about most (scholarships, customs tax, war compensation, oncology), and opened a WhatsApp community so there's a place to actually talk about all of this. Details below.
