Israeli banks offer limited digital interfaces for expense analysis, and each bank presents data in a different format. Getting a complete picture of spending is difficult when you have accounts across multiple banks, and global financial management tools do not support Israeli banks.

Changelog
Fixed several errors in the spending analysis script. Money moved into a pension, keren hishtalmut or gemel was counted as spending, which overstated the total and skewed every percentage; the script now reports spending, savings and total outflow separately. Refunds and other incoming credits were also being counted as spending and are now tracked apart. Hebrew keyword matching fired inside longer words, so a cooking-gas charge was classified as fuel and a mall as an insurer; patterns are now guarded. The library pin moved to israeli-bank-scrapers 6.9.0, which added Leumi savings accounts and Max credit card balances, so an older version silently returns less data. Added a section on handling bank credentials and transaction data, which the skill previously did not cover at all, and documented that categorisation is keyword matching and should be reviewed rather than presented as fact.

Update: pinned israeli-bank-scrapers to 6.7.8, corrected BOI bank codes (Mercantile=17, Yahav=04, Pagi=52), replaced the dead BOI identification-codes link, and noted the move to 3-digit codes by end of 2026.
